I spent really a lot of time doing the social and environment works in Sri Lanka from 1996.

Through form began. I guess my self that I have a good self-confidence challenge and face to any difficult things although impure knowledge of how to work with people, then result, I could be come as a organizer in the Regional Youth Club at Kegalle. As soon as in 2001 according my work youths were appointed me as a their president for 54 youth clubs.

Between the period of one 12 months there was so many works with youths. In the same time I could involving to a non government organization it’s IMSO Foundations at my home town, under theUnited National Development Programs.

Young Volunteers need to be work independently with good guidelines. Actually I appreciated about that. Hence first, I wanted grow up skills themselves. All youths clubs have supreme team calling "Karaka Sabawa". The team is worked well on each youth club social services with their members. I did it a really youths came develop their skills for the supreme teams, 54 youth clubs. I decided more programs. Actually, all my projects have been effected grow up for all kind of social developments I mean education, cultural, sport, economy, like that. Some of main thing as follows.

* 30th new Liberia for urban areas. Founded by government provincial developments program.

* Sports instruments offering to youth clubs.

* Youths educational, cultural and religious, skill develop programs every months more than four.

* They like depend on themselves alone, I got understand about that. Therefor, I organize one youth camp call Technical School. While they are doing work youths can keep it as a pocket money.

* The villagers and youths were develop difficult area their villages roads or other areas. It’s take experience how to work with people. Youths know it’s been hard but girls, boys are intrusting work together.

some of campaigns against, have been changes….I was see it as being anti god. An accordion to my figure, 45 projects has been done and also worth of this approximates 100,0000 when I was president in the regional youth club.

Other hand my volunteers’ service to the environment combined with IMSO Foundations. That was a big project worth S.L.Rs. 500,000 where lunched around a forest at Nilapalagammana Neiyanthuduwa Forest.

District Youth Club

In 2002, I became as a president of the Sbaragamuwa Provincial youth club including 12 districts. I feel, that moment was one of opportunity doing social work more to people, in my life.

As the president of regional youth club, Kegalle, I got understand that youth volunteers need a good guideline manage their leaders of the district. Otherwise I can’t go around on the province, onetime to more than 400 youth clubs in the villages. Hence, top management is the first.

The district committee calling District Mandalaya had approved the top management program. We held it in the Salka Hotel. Actually, the workshop gave to us a better guarantee that the social works are being managed for the long term. Suddenly the Sabaragamuwa Province Council had founded to Kegalle district youth club for develop youth skills, leadership and can investing any other youth develop programs.

Our aim was held 12 youth camp in the Sabaragamuwa Provincial, really I’m happy, boys and girls were participated more than 100 and youth came provided youth skill, leadership, hidden skills on so many activities. Between three days, camp was lunched big projects for rural develops I mean new roads, waterlines to difficult areas, help to commen placement in villages.

We estimated, Sabaragamuwa Province Council offered Rs. 18,0000 to Kegalle District Youth Club. Then retune, the youth camps had done social works more than Rs.500, 000.

National Youth service Council of the National Youth Federation of Sri Lanka.

If some one ask me what you were get a happy moment in your life?? Well it’s became as a president of the foreign sections, National youth federation of Sri Lanka (NYF of SL). My period was from 2003-2004. I selected NYF of SL from the Kegalle youth club. In this time I get a opportunity thanks for youth member of Kegall and National Youth Service Council (NYCS) officers.

The NYF of SL is depending on the NYCS. It’s principal by government of Sri Lanka. There are so many section develop for youth community skills. Actually what king you hope develop your life, you can achieve the goal on your talent.

Who wants become as a volunteer youth then NYCS has opened for this thing. The location is Colombo as Maharagama. NYF of SL is manly created by young youth (between 18-29 age) who are selected from own there district. Every proposal is began from NYF of SL.

With in one year I coordinated and participated so many activities.

· Sri Lanka - Canada youth exchange program, 2002

· The national youth sport meet- Sugathdas stadium at Colombo.

· Fond for youth clubs- National Plague Day- 23rd May.

· Sri Lanka - British youth exchange program, 2003.

· Sri Lanka - Canada youth exchange program, 2003.

· India youth conference - Asian youths community.

· Nippon Maru Cruse Ship.

Although, In the same time I continued my village social works, youth clubs activities in regional, district.

Job opportunities volunteer youths.

I hadn’t been pretty defecated work my volunteer services I feel it’s interest. Meanwhile encouraged with local NGOs. Not only the environment but also I considered about youth unrest.

There for I had been got a part of the one local educational project for develop rural area children’s creating with young job opportunity in all islands. The name was Rural Educational Development project.

Next Step, I want accompanies with you help for people. I expect do sustainable develop to the environment, protecting animal under the new community as we can. Then, help for the education develops to children, youth and their needs.
